FAQ
Q: Can I access the NDIS?
The National Disability Insurance Scheme is available to all Australia residents between the ages of 9 to 65 who have a disability caused by a permanent impairment. By following the below link it will guide you in detail about the NDIS eligibility criteria. If you find yourself lost with these details, feel free to contact us to explain the finer points.
Q: Am I eligible for the NDIS?
Dynamic Days specialises in plan management supports for children under the NDIS Early Childhood Intervention and Childhood Approach. Ultimately all NDIS participants can access supports which align with their needs and goals, but feel free to reach out to our staff for further guidance. Information regarding access to the NDIS Early Childhood Intervention and Childhood Approach is available below: https://www.ndis.gov.au/understanding/families-and-carers/early-childhood-approach-children-younger-9
Q: How do I sign up to the NDIS on behalf of my child?
Australian children under the age of 9 all have access to NDIS supports. Broadly speaking, if your child is under the age of 6, a diagnosis by a medical practitioner (such as paediatrician) is not required to obtain support through the Early Childhood Approach should there be concerns about their development. If you child is over the age of 9, we advocate that you discuss with your local area coordination partners. Please feel free to contact us if you would like to talk out your next steps for your child. It can be overwhelming organising a NDIS plan for a child. We believe it is prudent to discuss your child's needs and goals with a caring and local Support Coordinator (https://www.ndis.gov.au/providers/working-provider/support-coordinators) or your NDIS Local Area Coordinator (https://www.ndis.gov.au/understanding/what-ndis/whos-delivering-ndis/local-area-coordination-partners). They will essentially discuss with you the supports they believe will be suitable for your child and help you reach out in the community to access these. Our team have used the following support coordinators with their own children and are happy to endorse these societies to you: https://www.benevolent.org.au/ https://www.lotussupport.com.au/ http://www.identityfirst.com.au If you would like further information regarding support coordination or access to the NDIS on behalf of your child, please follow the above links or feel free to contact us.
